Langham Hall Stud is situated in 110 acres of beautiful Suffolk countryside, just outside of Bury St Edmunds and within just 25 minutes from Newmarket. The stud was purchased by the Botham family (July 2006) and has undergone extensive restoration and improvement. The stud, first established in 1962, boasts idyllic settings for brood mares, foals and spellers with its large warm stables, mature paddocks and historic surroundings.
In 1962, the stud was commissioned by a former Jockey Club Senior Steward situated on old arable land and woodland on the estate within close proximity to Langham Hall and Langham Church. It was designed and built for him as a classic thoroughbred stud.
Since the purchase of the stud in July 2006, we have invested a lot of time, money and hard work to renovate the stud primarily to its former beauty but also to bring it above and beyond today’s standards and levels of service.
Our aim is to produce high quality stock for racing or selling as yearlings using our own band of 10 successful Brood Mares. We also offer a high quality service for resident horses either resting from racing, pre-training exercise programs, recuperation periods and foaling visiting brood mares using our facilities, knowledge, experience and care.
